About
I am a software engineer based in Muğla, Türkiye, working primarily on automotive diagnostics, embedded C++ and reverse engineering.
Most of my work is about vehicle communication: building the software that talks to an ECU over UDS, OBD-II, WWH-OBD and SAE J1939 on top of ISO-TP and CAN. A lot of that comes down to understanding how a system behaves beneath its documented surface, which is where reverse engineering, binary analysis and protocol reconstruction come in.
My professional interests sit between low-level engineering and product development. I am equally interested in how a protocol works at byte level and how the resulting technology can be turned into a useful, maintainable product.
What I enjoy most is taking a product the whole way, from the early development stages through to the point where it reaches real customers. I like detailed planning, careful integration and mapping out how a system fits together, and in larger projects I particularly enjoy designing communication layers and language bindings, such as Lua and C++ interop.
Outside engineering, I document selected journeys, work on independent products and contribute to the digital development of my family's olive oil business in Muğla.
